Recently we had the opportunity to work with Hometown Mechanical to perform the mechanical systems insulation contract for the James Madison Elementary Boiler Replacement in Burlington, Iowa. While we have performed numerous projects with Hometown over the years, this is yet another example of a well-managed project they can add to their portfolio.
As with prior projects, Hometown’s superintendent communicated with me in a very timely manner. This allowed us to order the material and perform our work without wasted trips to the jobsite, which was an hour and a half away from our office. I would also like to comment on the thought process Hometown’s superintendent provided in the installation of the heating water pipe. The project utilized grooved pipe fittings, which can be very easy to install without proper clearance for our pipe insulation. However, Hometown’s team installed the pipe exactly as needed. We appreciate this type of workmanship, as we were allowed to install our insulation without any issues.
