Project Scope and Bio:

Hometown Plumbing & Heating has installed booster stations for the Iowa American Water Company in Davenport, Clinton, and Dixon. These uniquely challenging projects, which involved the use of 80-ton cranes, were all completed on time and within budget. The scope of the projects included:

  • Total station layout for booster station building pad and underground utilities
  • Site demo/preparation (tree removal, concrete removal, grading), new paving, and landscaping
  • Booster station pick and set with 80-ton crane, navigating between water towers, power lines, and active city streets
  • Piping connections to new booster station
  • Pipe boring underneath Utica Ridge Road for Davenport project
